Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the medical office, ensuring efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize medical software systems such as Eaglesoft and Epic for scheduling, billing, and record management.
- Implement utilization management strategies to optimize patient care and resource allocation.
- Coordinate critical care services as needed and ensure proper communication among healthcare providers.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and industry best practices to enhance office operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical office management role or similar position.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices is a plus but not required.
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management principles within a healthcare setting.
- Experience with JCAHO accreditation processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in using medical software systems such as Eaglesoft and Epic is highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology and critical care procedures is essential.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
