We are a family-owned watch repair business with over 30 years of expertise, expanding to Idaho to provide top-tier service for fine and luxury watches. We specialize in high-end timepieces, offering services ranging from basic repairs to intricate mechanical adjustments.
We’re looking for a skilled Watchmaker to join our team part-time, working three days a week with flexible scheduling. If successful, this role can transition into a full-time position as the business grows.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Perform high-quality repairs on quartz watches, managing both simple and complex tasks. Experience with mechanical or automatic watches is a plus.
- Diagnose and service customer-owned watches with precision, ensuring optimal condition, function, and timing accuracy.
- Communicate repair updates to administrative staff and address any issues with management.
- Accurately perform services, including:
- Battery replacements
- Gasket replacements
- Crystal replacements
- Movement replacements
- Partial service repairs: hands, crown/stem, and movement ring
- Cleaning: external case and bracelet
- Strap replacements, bracelet, and clasp adjustments
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of technical training or 3-5 years of professional experience in watchmaking.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing quartz and or mechanical watches.
- Proficiency in water resistance methods and testing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in repair work.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to the Boise/Eagle area.
Position Details:
- Part-Time Schedule: 3 days a week (flexible on which days).
- Work Hours: 8-hour shifts during your selected days.
- Pay Range: $20 - $35/hour, depending on skills and experience. Estimated part-time annual pay: $24,960 - $43,680.
- Potential for Full-Time: This role is expected to transition to a full-time position based on business growth and performance.
- Additional Earning Opportunity: Depending on your level of expertise and qualifications, you may have the opportunity to service high-end and fine watches on a per-watch basis outside of regular work hours.
