The Town of Essex Parks and Recreation (EPR) Department is receiving applications for full time employment for a Parks Maintenance Technician.
Under the direct supervision of the Parks Maintenance Superintendent, and the general direction of the Parks Maintenance Tech Level II, the Parks Maintenance Technician works to effectively implement safe, aesthetically pleasing, and functional grounds and facilities for the public to enjoy in support of the development, maintenance, and stewardship of a comprehensive system of recreational services.

Applicants are encouraged to apply who have a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers license, and a minimum of two years’ overall relevant experience. Plowing experience and a CDL are a plus! The Town of Essex is open to working with candidates with a variety of experience and qualifications, and supports on-the-job training for this role. This is a full-time hourly position that is covered by our AFSCME union contract.
