The Water Treatment Plant Mechanic Lead reports to the Water Treatment Utility Supervisor. The primary job duties of this position include:

The Water Treatment Plant Mechanic Lead reports to the Water Treatment Utility Supervisor. The primary job duties of this position include:
- Work with supervisor in budget development and monitoring.
- Monitor trends and usage of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) to predict future system trends.
- Daily monitoring, record readings, and perform sampling to check equipment.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- 3 years of experience in water treatment and mechanical maintenance and 1 year in fabricating and industrial plumbing.
- 5 years of experience in water systems and pumps.
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory or lead position.
- Valid Arizona driver's license.
- ADEQ Grade 2 Water Treatment Certification and a Grade 2 Water Distribution Certification at the time of hire or promotion.
- An ADEQ Grade 3 Water Treatment Certification and a Grade 3 Water Distribution Certification required within 1 year of hire or promotion.
- Certification in welding, fabrication or journeymen trades training.
- 1 year or more of technical training beyond high school in water treatment preferred.

Salary : $30 - $45
