What are the responsibilities and job description for the Municipal Worker I position at Town of Mills?
This person performs variety skilled services for the Public Works Department, including but not limited to: operation of sanitation trucks or other vehicles for collecting garbage, reading water meters, completing repairs and or maintenance within the various divisions of the Public Works Department.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Drive sanitation truck and collect garbage.
Maintains street, water, sewer, and sanitation systems as assigned.
Cleans garbage from public areas, gutters and fence lines.
Mow and weed whack grass in the parks and roadways.
Operates light and heavy equipment as assigned.
Cleans and services equipment on a regular basis.
Drives truck for hauling material or snow removal.
Replaces repairs and installs street signs.
Helps clean and organize maintenance shop.
Performs other related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE: Truck operation and maintenance.
EDUCATION: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
LICENSE: Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a Class B State of Wyoming CDL, as appropriate, must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This CDL required position is subject to drug and alcohol testing in compliance with DOT guidelines. A pre-employment test is required.
As a condition of employment, all potential candidates will be required to submit to a background check. Driving records are required for all new employees,
