- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet organizational requirements, including extracting and/or loading data.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues for optimal performance and availability, and configure servers and databases.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations, setting up cybersecurity measures, and ethically handling private data.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data, preserving data integrity, and authenticating data.
- Optimize database systems for efficiency and scalability, including monitoring the performance of hardware and software, and ensuring all hardware and software are updated.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate databases into applications and systems, providing technical support and guidance on database-related matters.
- Evaluate and recommend database technologies, tools, and methodologies for enhancing capabilities.
- Experience with Tableau, Python, SSRS, Power BI, and related data analytics tools.
- Performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (at job entry)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, business administration, public administration, or related field and 6 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
