ToyotaLift Northeast is now one of the largest Toyota material handling resources on the East coast and supplies the industry’s best products and forklifts for sale in upstate New York, South Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.
What’s The Job?
We are searching for a Controller to join our Phoenixville, PA team who would be responsible for monitoring daily accounting activities, budgeting, developing internal accounting controls, tracking high volume corporate client accounts, and building a strong financial team.
What Will I Be Doing?
Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:
- Supervise 4 direct reports
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
- Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
- Manage and review the calculation and preparation of the commission statements
- Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
- Manage the day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, Cash Receipts, Collections, Payroll Prep, Journal Entries, and General Ledger
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
- Manage the reconciliation of the bank statement, and sales and use tax
- Oversees tax preparation and filings including the review of sales and use tax accruals, and 1099s
- Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
What Makes Me Qualified?
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA a plus
- 5 to 7 years’ experience as an accountant
- 3 to 5 years in an accounting leadership role
- Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills required
