SCOPE/POSITION OVERVIEW
The Equipment Technician is responsible for assisting in the equipment maintenance and repair operations for the Golf Course Maintenance department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school education, and preferably secondary course of study in mechanics, or trades training plus at least
- one year’s mechanical experience working with small engine repair and/or turf equipment, or equivalent
- experience in turf equipment management.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Assists the Equipment Manager in appropriate preventative and curative maintenance required for all golf course equipment maintenance operations.
- Completes daily service records.
- Assist the Equipment Manager in maintaining appropriate parts inventory.
- Ensures that the equipment maintenance shop and appropriate areas are kept clean, organized, and provide a safe working environment for staff members.
- Must be thoroughly trained in the procedures of each task before performing such tasks.
- Must follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task.
- Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards.
- Special projects or other duties as assigned.
