Project Manager

Traffic Control Devices is seeking a Project Manager to assist with organizational and project responsibilities to effectively lead the project and construction team in the industries of the ITS, signing, signalization and lighting projects.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Manage and schedule crews, project progression, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with clients, project superintendents, foreman, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline of the projects.
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
• Create schedules for project staff and subcontractors.
• Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
• Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
• Collect data and develop as-builts for projects.
• Oversee safety operation of working crews.
• Produce monthly billings and quantity tracking.
• Access and implement safe work practices
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards and procedures set forth by Traffic Control Devices
• Represent the company at meetings with project stakeholders, vendors & subcontractors.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read and interpret TXDOT design construction, standards, drawings and specifications for ITS, signing, signalization and lighting projects.
• Be familiar with all operations of construction with installation, testing, integration, full operation and acceptance of the project(s).
• Possess and maintain a valid DL
• Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite products and Adobe PDF exchange.
• Excellent math and grammar skills.
• Primavera Schedules & CPM Schedules a plus
• Excellent project correspondence skillset
• Knowledge of fiber optic cable plant construction
• Must be a self-starter and team player
  
  

Education & Experience

• Minimum of two-year college degree in construction management, engineering, or other related field.
• Business experience preferred.
• Industry experience is a must with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervision role or higher.
• Electrical experience a plus.
  
  

Pre-Screen

License & Certifications:

• Driver's License preferred, but not required.
