The Janitorial Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and facility maintenance while aligning operations with client and company objectives. This role demands leadership, operational excellence, and a focus on maintaining efficient, cost-effective services. The Janitorial Manager will supervise and develop cleaning teams, implement best practices in quality assurance, and consistently improve cleaning and maintenance methods to exceed expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily custodial operations, including the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies such as vacuum cleaners, floor care machines, and cleaning chemicals.
- Manage inventory to ensure adequate supplies are available for efficient facility operations.
- Supervise custodial staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and professional development.
- Develop and enforce QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) processes to maintain high service standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and assessments to ensure facility cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Direct and monitor contractor activities, ensuring alignment with company and client standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to cleaning operations and facility upkeep.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to sustain operational efficiency.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to address concerns and maintain satisfaction.
- Uphold the highest safety, quality, and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Spanish bilingual proficiency (preferred).
- Valid Driver's License required.
- 5-10 years of experience in custodial or facility management, with a proven ability to lead and manage teams.
- Strong knowledge of floor care, cleaning techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage competing priorities.
- Prior experience with TEAM Software/WinTeam is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movements.
