Position Purpose:
Transport Enterprise Leasing (TEL) is looking for a motivated and skilled Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of ETL pipelines and user-facing dashboards, working closely with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, processing, and visualization. This position requires you to be on-site in our offices in Chattanooga, TN
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient ETL pipelines to integrate data from various sources.
- Support the implementation of scalable and optimized solutions for data processing and storage.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather data requirements and implement solutions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining user-facing dashboards and visualizations for actionable insights.
- Perform data validation and ensure data quality throughout the data pipeline.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the data pipeline, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Stay informed about new tools and technologies relevant to data engineering and analytics.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support team efficiency.
Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines with tools like Databricks, Apache Spark, Airflow, or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or SQL for data processing.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Domo.
- Basic understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment practices in a database context.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, with an emphasis on Azure infrastructure.
- Ability to work with APIs to integrate data from various systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team-oriented environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
