THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Assistant Branch Manager will report to the Director of Sales and Operations, and will be responsible for assisting the branch operations, while providing outstanding service to our customers. The Assistant Branch Manager's responsibilities will include achievement of KPIs in these areas: warehouse operations, coordinating delivery / logistics, inventory management, office support management to include deposits, credits, and CODs, and reverse logistics.
- Handling inbound and outbound customer calls, providing excellent customer service in accordance with NMG policies and procedures
- Fulfill incoming customer orders accurately and efficiently, while maintaining precise inventory control
- Maintain an ongoing, effective relationship with key customers within the local market and maintain overall service standards for the entire customer base.
- Implement operations best practices at the assigned branch, maintaining a clean and organized workplace.
- Assist and oversee cash management process between the Branch and the Regional Credit department; work with Regional Credit Manager to address local customer credit/collection issues.
- In conjunction with Regional Operations Manager, review location to ensure current facility is optimized with respect to customer service and delivery reach.
- Help Lead a team of 5 employees, including warehouse employees and delivery drivers.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Up to 3 years of leadership experience in warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strategic thinking skills with strong business analytical skill sets.
- Excellent communication and people management skills, especially in regards to training and employee development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated superlative leadership qualities with the ability to train and develop team members.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while setting priorities, managing diversity of job responsibilities with effective organizational skills, and working within deadlines.
- Track record of successful P&L performance and a keen understanding of what drives profitability preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree with concentration in a business related discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Automotive aftermarket experience a plus.
