Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive cloud initiatives and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Cloud Solutions: Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, ensuring alignment with best practices and business requirements.
• Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations of our cloud environment, including monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Automation and Scripting: Utilize automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates) to streamline deployment and management processes.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support cloud-based applications and services.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Cloud Database Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based databases using Microsoft technologies such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Maintain On-premises Resources: Manage patching, configuration and availability of Trean’s on-premises server infrastructure.

Requirements

• Education: Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Administrator) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Networking).
• Experience in Microsoft 365 system administration and support, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Experience with end point management (Microsoft Intune) and identity management (Microsoft Entra).
• Strong scripting skills with PowerShell and other automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Policy).

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
• Knowledge of additional Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, and Windows Server.
• Understanding of networking principles and experience with VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers in a cloud context.
