The Independently Licensed Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The therapist will work independently, utilizing evidence-based practices to address a variety of mental health issues, ensuring high-quality care tailored to each client's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Assessment: Conduct thorough initial assessments to determine clients' mental health status, including psychological, emotional, behavioral, and environmental factors.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and align with clients' goals and needs.
  • Therapeutic Intervention: Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant communications.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, case managers, and support systems to coordinate care for clients.
  • Ethical Practice: Adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal requirements, including maintaining confidentiality and obtaining informed consent.
  • Continuing Education: Stay current with developments in the field by participating in professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  • Supervision and Consultation: Seek out supervision and consultation as needed to enhance clinical skills and ensure best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must possess independent licensure as a [e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCC] in Arizona ].
  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
