What to Expect
- Compensation: $19 - $21 hourly
- Flexible Scheduling: This is an on-call position based on event needs. Schedules are released about two weeks in advance, but shifts are not guaranteed. Perfect for those seeking extra income with a flexible schedule!
- Hands-On Work: Assist with dishwashing, food prep, and kitchen duties for events, from cutting fresh produce to helping plate stunning dishes.
- Event-Based Atmosphere: Work behind the scenes of exciting catered events, collaborating with a talented culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, including cutting, cleaning, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Support the Event Chef with tasks like plating, stocking, and kitchen setup or teardown.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
- California Food Handler's Card (active and valid).
- Reliable transportation and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
