What You'll Do
As a Staff Scientist with guidance and support from senior scientists, you'll gain experience in the planning, designing and implementation of diverse projects. Exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
- Ensure safety is always prioritized
- Perform assignments requiring the application of standard criteria, procedures, and techniques
- Utilize observations, samples and specimens to collect data
- Document and organize observations, samples and specimens in the lab and fieldwork
- Prepare reports and correspondence related to assigned projects
- Communicate effectively with professional staff regarding projects
- Participate in business development and customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology or other appropriate scientific discipline required
- Experience with sampling of environment media required
- 2-5 years of industry experience preferred
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour preferred
- Hazardous/regulated material inspection/assessment certification preferred
- Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
