We are looking for a thorough Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving the condition and functionality of the premises and manufacturing plant. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety. A Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. We are looking for candidates who can react quickly to maintenance needs and function effectively, conduct maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery, conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure proper functioning, troubleshoot diagnose Electrical and Mechanical issues, fabricate, and install parts components to repair and improve machines, analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements and perform preventative maintenance. The goal is to maintain the manufacturing equipment, buildings, and common areas in the best possible condition, while maintaining OSHA Standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks.
· Trouble shoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
· Developing and installing machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages.
· Determining machine automation test criteria before the final installation.
· Testing automated systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
· Installing/Overseeing the successful installation of PLC programs.
· Will also be involved with equipment installation and facility maintenance.
· All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.
· Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.
· Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
· Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts.
· Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
· Provide support to the manufacturing processes by repairing industrial equipment including electrical components, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, compressors.
· Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
· Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, NFPA70e code and OSHA requirements.
· Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out.
· Good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
· Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with production staff.
· Ability to read, write and understand sufficient English to read machinery controls, load types, temperature, time, etc.
· Must be multi-talented, extremely flexible in work assignments.
· Willingness to integrate into a closely knit team.

Skills
· Possess basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
· Possess electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
· Electrical and mechanical engineering experience preferred.

· Must be computer literate and understand PLC principles.
· Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages.

· Industrial welding experience a plus
· Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
· Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.

· Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
· Ability to read, interpret and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics, block diagrams, and flow charts.
· Manual dexterity, knowledge, and troubleshooting skills of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
· Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
· High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
· Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure.
· Ability to work from heights (Ladders, Aerial Lifts, Roofs, etc.)
· Ability to be self-motivated.
· Must be computer literate and understand PLC principles.
· Industrial welding a plus.
· Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
· Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
· High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
