Summary :
The Chicago Tribune is looking for a reporter to join its sports team at the largest news organization in the Midwest. This reporter will be a general assignment writer, working collaboratively with our beat reporters on the major beats, as well as carving out their own path with features, off-the-beat news and other stories to help the department reach new audiences.
What you will do : Be a self-directed and hungry journalist who can juggle reporting multiple stories and keeping tabs on multiple teams at onceWork alongside other reporters in the sports department, shifting from team-to-team where the needs areStrive to develop their own niche in the sports atmosphere, whether it be adding more context to in-season teams or bringing to light gaps in our coverage sphereHave a collaborative spirit, as well as being a self starter with a wide range of Chicago sports knowledge - both current and historicalWhat you will bring :
