ABOUT THE ROLE :

Multi-role position focused on maintenance and repair of Production equipment, including facility maintenance for the Production area. Responsible for identifying necessary maintenance work, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing components on maching tools, laser welders, steamers, and other line equipment. Maintenance is 20% of this role. Daily Production work as Laser Engraving Technician is the primary focus and 80% of the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

Proven experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical production equipment
Proven experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical production equipment
Competent in preventative equipment maintenance
Strong problem-solving skills
High school diploma required
Ability to comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, and operating manuals
Effectively communicate plans and ideas in both verbal and written form
Proficiency using computers, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Customer service focused and professional attitude
Must be able to prioritize, organize time, and take direction
Ability to work well in a team environment
Work under limited supervision
Flexible and be open to change
High level attention to detail

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on Production equipment failures, including consulting with vendors and replacing parts.

Provide recommendations for maintenance work on equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Production line equipment. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on Production workload.

Test and verify correct operation of repairs and adjustments.

Follow standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.

Comply with all safety procedures.

Perform facility maintenance in the production area such as replacing fluorescent bulbs, moving and installing equipment, building tables, carts, racks, computer chairs, and other duties assigned by management.

Apply preventative measures to the Production building area to reduce the risk of future problems.

Fix potential safety hazards in Production area to avoid injuries.

Daily Production work, including but not limited to : operating laser engraving equipment, operating laser welder, operating plating equipment, and other Production duties as needed.

Represent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with Company standards and associate attributes at all times.

Other duties as assigned by management.

TRAVEL :

Nothing outside of daily commute
