Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator Sr. will be located at Tridents’ Corporate Office in Huntsville while providing support to our California location. This position is responsible for advising and assisting employees on human resources policies and procedures for the efficient execution of internal processes.

Essential Duties/Tasks:

  • Respond to inquiries from California Trident employees and customers promptly regarding policies and procedures, job postings, and HR services
  • Assist the Corporate Human Resources Manager, and HR Department in performance of HR tasks
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality and privacy, per the Trident, federal, state, and local regulations, and any other protected documentation
  • Participating in committees and teams to resolve problems, develop systems, and improve interdepartmental cooperation and efficiency
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the California State and Federal legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Manage data collection, maintenance, storage, and retrieval of documentation related to recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Manage the efficient flow of HR processes including employment records related to hiring, transfer, leaves of absence, promotion, and termination in the appropriate databases
  • Compile and maintains accurate human resource/employee files, records, and documentation (both hard copy and electronic files)
  • Perform periodic audits of HR/employee files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Support internal and external inquiries and requests
  • Follow policies and procedures in onboarding and off-boarding employees
  • Work with supervisors to coordinate new employee orientations to ensure a smooth work transition and educate employees on systems, policies, procedures, and technology
  • Demonstrate professionalism and provide quality customer service per Trident's values
  • Maintain positive working relationships.
  • Maintain confidentiality, positive communication, accurate records, and an organized, safe working environment
  • Exhibit flexibility, willingness to learn, ability to change, and maintain current technology skills
  • Liaise with colleagues in other institutions and actively participate in professional development
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required
  • Other duties, as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from a regionally or nationally accredited institution
  • 3 years of experience may be substituted for the education requirement
  • Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including California and Federal employment law is required.
  • Minimum of three years of full-time experience in human resources
  • Minimum of two years of payroll experience.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Apple applications (Numbers, Pages, Keynote)
  • Experience with customer service is strongly preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR especially in California State and Federal employment law
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to mediate tough conversations with authentic empathy
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have good judgment
  • Ability to take initiative and exercise confidentiality
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to coach managers and employees and make recommendations to effectively resolve problems
  • Ability to excel in a rapidly changing and fast-paced, and at times stressful environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Basic understanding of accounting
  • Familiarity with payroll and payroll deductions.

Working Environments/Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk or working on a computer
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
  • May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds

Reporting Structure

  • The Human Resources Coordinator Sr. is a full-time on-site position.
  • Work Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • This role will report to the Corporate Human Resources Manager

Hourly: $22 to $25 per hour DOE
