Position Objectives: The mechanical designer provides high-quality design and technical support for die plates and related items, working independently to support customers' pelletizing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications.
- Determine necessary items to be ordered.
- Provide customer CAD sketches and drawings.
- Meet tight design deadlines and work overtime when required.
- Lead technical discussions on design issues or proposed changes.
- Complete CAD models, detail drawings, bills of material, and shop information packets.
- Ensure digital information is transferred to CNC Programmers.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Prioritize quality, safety, and environmental considerations in all tasks.
Education:
- Required: Associate’s Degree or higher in mechanical design.
- Preferred: SolidWorks Certification.
- Required: 2 years of mechanical design experience using SOLIDWORKS
- Preferred:
- Willingness to travel.
