Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our church office by providing administrative support. This position requires knowledge of Google Suites, Facebook and other social platforms, excellent time management, and the ability to multitask effectively. The Administrator will be responsible for managing office equipment, assisting with parishioner and community inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming church environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day office operations and create the Sunday bulletin following liturgical policies.
- Greet visitors and parishioners to provide exceptional service
- Handle incoming calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate volunteers.
- Maintain organized filing systems on-line and manage office supplies inventory .
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar of church events.
- Proofread bulletins, announcements, and newletter for accuracy and clarity before distribution.
- Maintain the parish data base of names and addresses.
- Collaborate with the church Vestry and the priest to ensure cohesive communication and workflow.
- Unlock and lock the church doors before and at the end of work shift.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in computer software applications, including Google Suites, Adobe, and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with church liturgical services is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality.
- The position works four mornings a week, 9 am to 1 pm.
