Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our retail environment. This position requires excellent customer service skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Pay will be based upon experience.
Duties
- Greet and assist visitors, residents, and staff with inquiries or requests during evening hours.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
- manage correspondence, including sorting and distributing mail
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems, both physical and electronic
- Data entry of resident information,inventory updates and other administrative records
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordination communication between departments
- Monitor and maintain office supplies: submit requisition orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality policies related to residents information
- Prepare and process basic reports and documents as directed by the Office manager
- Assist with evening residents admission procedures, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed
- Perform general office housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Address any immediate facility or maintenance issues that arise during the shift and notify the appropriate personnel
- Support other administrative tasks as requested by management
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in administration or related field preferred
- 1 years of experience in an office or clerical role, preferably in healthcare or long-term care settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectivley
- Familiarity with medical terminology and resident care protocols is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Availability to work evening shifts and occasional weekends/holidays as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20lbs
- Ability to operate standard office equipment , including computers and phones.
