Responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy in the Springfield, MA area. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Must have dependable transportation.
What you will do:
- Receives assignments, reviews labels and/or requisitions, and obtains required supplies and equipment necessary to carry out tasks.
- Processes requisitions for completeness, check appropriate signatures obtained, entering patient data, test requested, requesting physician and billing information into computer. Verifies billing and insurance information.
- Drives personal vehicle to travel to client locations and SPHS facilities. Completes appropriate mileage forms on a daily/weekly basis.
Work Hours/Shift:
- Full-time, 40 hrs, 11:30 am-8:00 pm, (some flexibility, if meets business needs) e/o weekend & rotating holidays. Eve Shift Diff Applies from 3-8 pm (use of own vehicle, mileage reimbursement is provided)
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma/GED
- Certification: Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred. Valid driver’s license in good standing required by the Commonwealth of MA.
- Experience: 1 year of experience, preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; strong phlebotomy skills. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology.
