What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Trinity Home and Health?
Do you like shopping, going to thrift stores, crafting, exploring the library, walking in our county parks, and helping others? This could be the job for you! In search of compassionate, energetic, and creative candidate to support and accompany another individual within the community and/or their home to have fun and support their goals.
Hours vary based on your scheduling needs and the scheduling needs of the participant(s). Shifts can also be variable and range from 2-5 hours each.
Must be willing to participate in the home and community activities that the person you serve enjoys. For example, bowling, going for walks, shopping, going to the movies, going to museums, running errands, and many other activities along with providing support with independent living skills such as cooking, personal care, budgeting, grocery shopping, and time management.
Trinity Home and Health LLC is a small home healthcare agency created by a speech language pathologist looking to make a difference in the lives of those living in the community. Trinity provides weekly visits with the staff and clients to ensure that everyone feels supported, well trained, and appreciated!
NOTE: Contractors must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Contractors must present a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, have a reliable vehicle, and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and extensive background checks. First aid/CPR training is also required for this position.
