Awards & Community Program Manager
We are looking for a passionate awards and community program manager to join a growing team. This person will primarily be responsible to manage multiple individual and organizational awards programs, scholarship programs and initiatives to support students, universities, young professionals, and additional communities within the supply chain management profession. Responsibilities will include award project management, managing the submission/nomination process, judging, event planning, community outreach, tracking meaningful KPIs, and building and maintaining relationships with contributors, customers, and key external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple annual individual and organizational award programs and scholarships through each programs lifecycle (planning, submissions, reviews, selection, award event)
- Engage with current and prior award winners throughout their involvement with our organization and to build community and continuity
- Foster relationships with advocates, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts
- Organize initiatives and assist in event planning for annual conference and awards gala
- Develop promotional awards and community content and collaborate with marketing and product teams to facilitate campaigns
- Own and facilitate awards submission platform and related documentation inclusive of collaboration with your manager and impacted departments
- Manage virtual social communities (e.g., LinkedIn groups) to support specific initiatives and event promotion related to these communities
- Manage, drive engagement, and create content for online membership community
- Manage relationships and content programming with key communities in early career development: students, universities, young professionals, etc.
- Monitor and track community engagement in collaboration with communications, marketing and product teams
- Plan and support in-person community meetups and networking events
- Work closely and directly with leadership and comfortable working on a virtual and/or hybrid team
Knowledge and Skills
A successful candidate for this role is someone who loves balancing big, bold and creative ideas with practical needs that drive and sustain the business and is a natural leader and self-starter. This person should be skilled at managing lots of projects and moving pieces and be someone who can adapt smoothly and acclimate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment (for a rapidly disrupted profession: supply chain). Education and Experience
- Bachelors preferred in Communications or Business field
- 2-5 years of Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, and/or Event Management experience
- Preferred (but not required): Conceptual understanding of supply chains, economics, and sustainability initiatives
