SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Controller oversees the accountants and senior accountants by providing leadership, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and enhancing process efficiency. They manage daily operations, resolve issues, and support professional development within the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports (internal and audited financial statements)
- Working with stakeholders and other senior accounting leadership to create and maintain internal controls and policies
- Assist in ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with established policies, procedures, and accounting principles
- Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records
- Prepares regular forecasts and budget for actual analyses
- Assists in the analysis of monthly financials for accuracy and variances, providing feedback on any accounting irregularities
- Prepares and distributes various periodic financial reports to internal and external stakeholders on a determined schedule
- Directing, planning, and performing regular audits of the revenue to cash cycle, payroll, and inventory
- Provide oversight and review of the payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Ad hoc custom reporting (project oriented intake)
- Perform all additional duties requested by supervisor on an “as needed” basis.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance. Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience within accounting or finance. Recent experience as an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or in a similar role whether in public or private accounting, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE:
Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
CPA certification or CPA eligible, preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Critical math skills and a proven ability with difficult calculations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Comfort preparing and delivering reports to decision makers. Strong critical thinking skills.

The plant's environment will include cold and/or humid conditions (non-weather related), could also include being near machinery, exposure to strong odors and sight of blood. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
