Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and motivated individual to lead our detailing team in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of our motorcoach fleet. The Lead Detailer will oversee detailing operations, ensure adherence to quality standards, and contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment for our customers and drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the detailing team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices, safety procedures, and the use of equipment and cleaning products.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
- Fleet Detailing and Maintenance:
- Perform and oversee cleaning tasks, including washing exteriors, vacuuming interiors, cleaning windows, and sanitizing high-touch areas.
- Conduct deep-cleaning processes for upholstery, carpets, and other interior surfaces as needed.
- Ensure the exterior and interior of all motorcoaches meet company cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect motorcoaches after detailing to ensure they meet company and customer expectations.
- Address any deficiencies promptly and provide feedback to team members to maintain high standards.
- Inventory and Equipment Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure equipment is well-maintained and in proper working condition, reporting any issues to management.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and environmental regulations related to cleaning and waste disposal.
- Conduct safety briefings and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Customer Service and Communication:
- Coordinate with the operations and maintenance teams to schedule detailing services without disrupting fleet operations.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and management regarding progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in vehicle or detailing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in the use of cleaning equipment, tools, and materials.
- Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring physical exertion, such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
