Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Trojan Battery Company is looking for a Warehouse Operator/Driver to join our incredible team at our McDonough, GA Distribution Center. This position will be working in a fast-paced environment packaging batteries for shipment and moving products through the warehouse.

THE DAY TO DAY:

• Knowledge of all battery types and packaging configurations
• Upon receipt of sales order, pick tickets and pull and consolidate orders from specified bin locations
• Prepare (shrink wrap, label) and stage orders for shipping, load truck at day’s end
• Receipt of purchase orders from vendors – verify counts and place product in respective bin locations
• Conduct and/or assist with cycle counts of inventory
• Assist on Golf Cart Fleet installs as needed
• Operate (Drive) company vehicle (Non-CDL) as needed, assist with customer deliveries. This will range from 40-60% of the time and will vary each week
• Basic knowledge of using and operating warehouse machinery and equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack, stretch wrap machine)
• Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned warehouse
• Understand and follow work instructions
• Coordinate with other departments and outside resources to accomplish tasks
• Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE
• Comply with all Company safety rules
• Arrive at work station on time; leave work station on time, unless otherwise instructed by Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers in English/Spanish
• EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a customer service/warehouse environment and delivery driving
• Performs basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Forklift Certified (sit-down and stand-up)
• Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers in English/Spanish

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
