Reports to: Vice President of Operations
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical and electronic principles.
- Ensuring everyone is working according to standards and practices.
- Oversee and direct repair, installation or maintenance activities.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper functioning.
- Measure distances or dimensions.
- Confer with team to coordinate work activities.
- Supervise other maintenance and engineering workers
- Inspect systems to determine if they are operating properly.
- Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.
- Maintain work equipment or machinery.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development or operation activities.
- Document operational activities.
- Maintain repair or maintenance records.
- Install programs onto computer or computer-controlled equipment.
- Explain use of products or services.
- Develop equipment or component configurations
- Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
- Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
- Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
- Oversee and advise skilled repair operations.
- Develop or implement electronic maintenance programs or computer information management systems.
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment consistent with Arglass policies and procedures while striving for zero accidents.
- Maintain an effective working relationship within functional area and with other departments ensuring effective and timely communication.
- Partner with other departments to resolve issues and create new solutions
- Help create a dynamic, results-oriented and fulfilling company culture based on teamwork
- Monitor and ensure quality standards meet and exceed internal and external standards.
- Monitor and analyze critical data to lead the teams on the correct improvement paths.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Mentor the team, providing the correct tools, guidance and support to ensure successful operations.
- Promote Arglass’ culture of Flexibility, Efficiency and Sustainability in all areas of the company
- Commitment to improving operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education highly preferred
- Technical Education or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum 1 year glass experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position preferred
- Fluency in English required / fluency in Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse steps without assistance.
- Must be able to verbally communicate in potentially loud environments
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to get into confined spaces without difficulty
- Strong team-working skills and the ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Vision: Must be able to make visual recognition of the working environment.
- Environment: Exposures encountered such as: hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat.
- Hearing: Must be able to hear team members, alarms, mechanical sounds, and sounds of personnel distress
- Essential physical requirements such as climbing, bending, reaching, standing, stooping or typing.
- Standing and walking throughout a 12-hour shift.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
