TRU BY HILTON is Hiring a Front Desk Representative Near Sterling Heights, MI

Job Summary

The Tru by Hilton in Sterling Heights, MI is looking for an experienced front desk agent. We are searching for a candidate that demonstrates excellent customer service skills, a great work ethic, and reliability.

This position requires filling various shifts including: Afternoon shift (3pm-11pm), and Night Audit shift (11p-7am). This will include weekends and flexible availability is a must! We are looking for talented, helpful, friendly, motivated team player who demonstrates a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Process all guest check-ins and assign rooms. Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine.
  • Basic math skills such as selling hotel rooms and determining rates and deposit totals. Count bank at end of shift and secure bank. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Understands that these front desk shifts are solo and requires a strong team player that understands the front desk software system, the hotel policies, and guest service skills.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment by speaking with guests and co-workers using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1 year of hotel front desk and use of On Q software is required!
  • Reliable transportation!
  • Previous/Recent work as a front desk agent is a must!
  • Positive work ethic- works well with a team and communicates with co-workers and management in a respectful and uplifting manor. Understands the meaning of hard work and helping the team reach a common goal.
  • Flexible schedule- the schedule is subject to change, no particular shift is guaranteed and specific days off are not guaranteed as it pertains to the hotel needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour
