Commissioning / Field Service Technician

We are currently looking for a Commissioning / Field Service Technician that will be responsible for the business group's technical solutions and field operations responsibilities for the Trucent Separations Industrial Services Group. This person will be an individual contributor and work directly with the North American and Regional Service managers and their teams implementing Trucent Technologies at our prospective customer accounts and facilities. This would include helping and assisting with new prospective startups as well contributing hands on, acting as a Service Technician for our customers to provide additional technical support, such as preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility of developing solutions and resolving technical issues applying a wide range of the organization's technologies.
• Knowledge of current organization and industry technologies available to meet solution requirements.
• Responsible for assisting in industrial start-ups and trials.
• Contribute as the liaison between Trucent and our customers when it comes to services and implementation of new trials.
• Will be responsible for field-based trials and commissioning of Trucent brands of technology.
• Will be responsible for initial impressions of customer interaction, including initial site visits and walkthroughs and communication through various stages of trial and start-up process.
• Maintain/repair equipment with emphasis on customer relations & proper equipment operation.
• Perform preventative maintenance on requested equipment.
• Troubleshoot and provide operational assistance of separation equipment.
• Internal reporting through Salesforce on activity and next steps as well as follow up on related issues.
• Customer service, support, training, and problem resolution.
• Document equipment repairs, cleaning, preventative maintenance, calibrations, etc. and complete all required paperwork.

Qualification Requirements

Education:

• Technical degree preferred.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience in the industrial industry.

• Knowledge and understanding of fundamental theory of separation technologies, preferably specific to centrifugal separation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering and/or skill trades including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical vocations.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of specifications, blueprints, manuals, and mechanical drawings; maintain a general understanding of analytical methods.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and collaborative ability that promote a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement and make impromptu decisions in time-sensitive situations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
• Thorough knowledge of proprietary products and their applications.
• Effective time management skills and strong attention to detail.

Travel Requirements:

• 50 to 75% of the time, Regular travel concentrated in Midwestern and Southern US regions, Ontario, Canada, and Mexico.
• Willing to travel sometimes on short notice.
