Housekeeper/Janitor - Hangar

Summary

This is a full time position that is responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning of company aircraft and hangar.  Performs all cleaning tasks and operates and cares for equipment used in upkeep of the building, its contents, and adjacent grounds.  Provides general support to aviation staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean concrete hangar floor by sweeping, dusting, and/or mopping. Use floor machine as necessary.  Wax and polish floor as needed, completely stripping and waxing every two years.
• Clean all aircraft as necessary, inside and outside, following each trip. Clean aircraft interiors thoroughly; including shampooing carpet and cloth upholstery; using vinyl and leather cleaners on other upholstery
• Clean aircraft exteriors thoroughly. Polish props, spinners, and leading edge. Clean wing boots.
• Clean front office area, including entrance, office, lobby, kitchen, and restrooms. Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment; vacuum and spot-clean carpets; empties and clean waste receptacles; wash windows and walls. 
• Purchase and maintain janitorial supplies and equipment, restroom supplies, and drinks and snacks as needed and as authorized. Submit receipts to supervisor for approval.
• Transport individuals and their baggage to and from the airport terminal, and to run errands such as shopping for supplies and snacks.
• Set sprinkler system to water lawn as necessary; operate mower, mows and trims lawn once a week; fertilize as necessary. Pick up garbage or litter from grounds and shovels snow as needed.
• May be required to pick up mail at the Casper office.
• Wing walk aircraft.
• Fill gas in company vehicles and gas cans. Us company credit card and submits receipts to supervisor for approfal

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Previous janitorial experience.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
