Job Summary:
The Financial Navigator for True Health will serve as a community liaison for Low to Moderate income participants, connecting them with viable services offered by True Health and throughout the community. Additionally, the financial navigator will work to develop community events to help promote access to coverage within the overall community.

The Financial Navigator for True Health will serve as a community liaison for Low to Moderate income participants, connecting them with viable services offered by True Health and throughout the community. Position Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate patient access to social programs including the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace, the Florida Medicaid program, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), Florida KidCare, and Cash Assistance while protecting the fiscal interest of True Health.
- Provides guidance to True Health’s uninsured patient population and or service area to offer assistance on various enrollment options.
- Navigate patients through various social program options through one-on-one counseling.
- Assess the patient needs and make referrals to appropriate community resources.
- Track patient's progress in applying for assistance and provides appropriate follow-up guidance.
- Provides reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Advocate on the patient's behalf to help resolve problems with resources.
- Work in partnership with the Outreach and Enrollment manager in the development of outreach activities aimed at promoting access to coverage within the community.
- Develop educational sessions to different population groups with the intent of educating consumers within vulnerable and underserved communities.
- Relay information and educate staff as needed.
- Attends possible weekend/after hour events.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- One (1) or more years of experience as front office staff in a healthcare setting and/or customer service
- Computer knowledge (Intermediate level or above)
- Basic Knowledge on health insurance terminology
- Basic Knowledge of income tax terminology
- Basic Knowledge on public assistance programs
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Trilingual in English, Spanish, and Creole
- Ability to stand, walk or view a computer screen for extended periods of time
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Ability to reach with hands or arms
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and transport tables and boxes of materials for outreach work
- Ability to effectively talk and listen to patients
- Ability work inside or outside for outreach events
- Reports to the Outreach and Enrollment Manager.
