Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to promote a high-quality work environment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for residents.
- Monitor patient outcomes and ensure adherence to best practices in nursing care.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health needs and coordinate appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all patients.
Requirements.
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to patient care.
- Familiarity with resident rights regulations and best practices in assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
