Our client, a leading financial services company, is hiring a Mainframe Entry Level Operator/Technician on a contract basis.

Summary:
Work Schedule: 5-Day work week. Monday through Friday mostly. Flexibility needed for some Tuesday through Saturday based on planned events. Hours are 9am to 5pm with flexibility required.
The candidate will work in the Command Center of a large, 24X7 multinational bank holding company where mainframe availability is mission critical.
The candidate will need the ability to work remotely using virtual connectivity techniques such as phone, chat, Teams and Zoom. Training will be supplied and extensive.
Strong general (soft)skills are required.
The role requires the judicious exercise of privileged Mainframe access and rigorous adherence to security and operational policies.

- Knowledge of IBM Z Mainframe and z/OS
- Knowledge of OS/390 Operations
- JCL and batch problem diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of Data Transfer protocols
- NDM, FTP
- Agile Training a plus
- Previous Financial Firm experience
- Knowledge of OPC/TWS
- Familiarity with Service-Now ticketing software
- Experience with Teams and Zoom
Any of the below general skills preferred:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong English written and verbal skills (able to communicate to customers and stakeholders).
- Ability to digest security, cybersecurity, and policy training documents.
- Familiarity with Windows interface and toolsets.
- MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook skills.
- Ability to create and improve technical procedural documentation.
