Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant to support our educational team in providing a nurturing and safe environment for children. Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of infants and toddlers in a classroom setting.
- Support educators in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote early childhood development.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Engage with children through play, reading, and educational games to foster learning and development.
- Monitor children's behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with special education staff to support children with diverse needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to early childhood education.
Skills
- Experience in toddler care, infant care, or daycare settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children are essential qualities for success in this role.
