Title: Buying Coordinator, Private Label
Location: Washington, D.C.
Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications; classified as full-time salaried; exempt and not eligible for overtime.
Reports to: Private Label Team
Travel: Occasional travel may be required
Position Overview
The Buying Coordinator will help execute seasonal strategies of the Buying Team and understand inventory investments to effectively achieve department and company goals. They will do this by supporting the Buying Team on day-to-day administrative and operational tasks. This includes responsibility for PO creation, product creation, data entry, fitting notes, and maintaining visual representation of seasonal collections. The Buying Coordinator will work cross functionally with other departments and work closely with the Sample Coordinator.
Core Responsibilities
- Buying
- Manage order entry and product creation into the ERP system, with a focus on deadlines and accuracy
- Responsible for daily updates, revisions, and maintenance pertaining to all purchase orders and products
- Update report (Buys By Category) with stock month/stock week/cancelations/shifts post Receiving Recap & Planning meeting
- Assist the team on day to day activities and learn “on the job” by contributing to reporting, analytics, presentations and meeting preparation
- Attend sample fittings, take sample pictures and help with note taking.
- Prepare seasonal recaps of product performance prior to design meetings
- Work to improve all processes leading up to shipment receipt date
- Help maintain product development tracker and order form
- Bulk Procurement
- Communicate with vendors to provide skus and ensure sku accuracy
- Assist in communication & handoff of information (shipment documentation, PO data) to Logistics Associate
- Troubleshoot as needed to resolve outstanding issues related to Order Entry with the Buying Team and support with bulk procurement tasks as needed.
