Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and special events according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen management team in menu planning and development to meet dietary needs and preferences of guests.
- Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and sanitation practices.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead by example in the kitchen, providing guidance and support to junior cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards.
- Participate in catering events as needed, contributing to both on-site cooking and off-site food preparation.
Skills
- Strong experience in food service management with an emphasis on banquet or catering operations.
- Proficient in menu planning with an understanding of dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff effectively.
