Full Job Description: Aspiring Educator (Non-Certified Adjunct Teacher)
Salary Grade: $35,000.00
Position Summary: As a non-certified adjunct teacher with Tulsa Public Schools, you will be tasked with creating a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. The non-certified adjunct teacher will establish effective rapport with all stakeholders (students, families, and colleagues); motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good academic foundation; and master the objectives of each lesson set forth by district curriculum.
Education:
- Associates degree or within 36 hours of a bachelor’s degree
- Two (2) years of demonstrated full-time work in an instructional or supervisory role
- Successful experience as a classroom teacher, but otherwise ineligible for emergency
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all district employment requirements, including but not limited to references,
- Complete application and pay fee for adjunct teaching status once recommended by the
- Required to complete 20 hours of Tulsa Way Saturday and asynchronous Tulsa Way
- Required to attend training in the science of reading
- Required to maintain professional certification and attend professional development
- Adjunct teachers in a core content class must complete a degree or receive an

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
