Overview
The US Army Reserves offers 160 different career fields. These are opportunities that allow you to continue your civilian job while serving. You will gain experience and college credits from the career field you choose. Only required 1 weekend a month and two weeks in the summer. It also offers a full retirement from just 20 years of service as a Reserve Soldier.
Job Duties
· Requires Basic training with full pay while training
· Participate in one of 160 different career fields.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- HS diploma or GED.
- US Army is a drug-free organization; employees are subject to random drug tests.
- Willing to submit to a background review.
- Available to work in geographic area indicated.
- Able to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to pass a physical screening
- Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Able to visually distinguish colors - red, blue, green, yellow; hear, and with training, distinguish auditory signals.
Training
Company-paid on-the-job training, including preparation, equipment and expenses. Training is 20 weeks.

Compensation
Total compensation includes monthly housing stipend, monthly food allowance, medical coverage, paid holidays, 30 days of paid vacation a year, and paid movement costs for any relocation.
· Housing: A stipend allowance based on your location

Education Benefits
In the U.S. Army, you will earn full-tuition, allowances for books and fees, plus an annual stipend for living expenses.
