USGBC is seeking an Education Intern to join the Education & Events (E&E) team to help them research, curate, and create educational products and resources related to green building and sustainability.
This is a paid internship for 32-40 hours a week and will last approximately 10-12 weeks. The internship can be located remotely, but preference is for the intern to work 2-3 days per week at the Washington, D.C. office of USGBC.

Specific Responsibilities Include
Seeking an intern to support growth of green building education and events for students and professionals. Projects to include:
- Support LEED Lab and other USGBC higher education programs and resources by conducting market analysis, creating case studies and developing outreach plans
- Create resources to support E&E team’s Workforce Development initiatives for High School and Higher Education students
- Assist with a variety of production tasks associated with the development, improvement, and delivery of new and existing education products such as creating knowledge quizzes, supporting live online classes, and reviewing and updating materials.
- Create content for an on-demand course in the USGBC online course catalog
- Create closed captioned content for online courses to improve the accessibility of the USGBC online course catalog
- Other duties as assigned
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate program of study
- Studies and research interests include: education, environmental science, environmental studies, sustainability, sustainable business, educational leadership, or another relevant field.
- Knowledge of green building, environmental and sustainability education
- Strong research and writing skills
- Detail-oriented and skillful in project management
- Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Data analysis skills or willingness to learn how to use various data analysis and visualization tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace

- Full-time, hourly
- Location: 2101 L Street NW, Washington, DC (currently remote)
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm EST, 40 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends
