U.S. Pipe is looking for a dynamic, collaborative and forward-thinking professional to join our team as a Regional Sales Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, directing and management of the sales manager’s efforts for pipe, fabrication, fittings, and gaskets within the sales region in order to achieve sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for formulating and implementing regional sales strategy and goals for pipe, fabrication, fittings, and gaskets, establishing new accounts, negotiating new contracts and selling and servicing established accounts.
- Achieve Business Plan goals for various product lines of pipe, fabrication, fittings, and gaskets includes a diversity of sizes and joint types and accessories with projected pipe sales volume that is consistent with the Region’s sales performance history.
- Supervises, directly and indirectly, the training and activities of outside sales in various locations, and in clerical functions.
- Addresses problem solving situations involving customer service, customer complaints, analysis of data on competition, marketing, training, strategy, bidding, pricing, distribution, personnel problems, and long-term planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Sales.
- Requires a BS degree in Marketing or the equivalent training/experience resulting in knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in selling pipe products.
- Ability to travel 65% -75% of time to the customers and various pipe plants.
- Superior skills in interpersonal relationships to sell products and motivate others.
