This student position will play a crucial role in supporting the planning and execution of the Intro to High-Performance Computing (HPC) Bootcamp, hosted by Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) in August 2025. They will engage in all aspects of the bootcamp’s preparation, gaining a thorough understanding of event planning and HPC curriculum development. Primary responsibilities include reviewing and assessing the bootcamp curriculum, working through group projects, and offering valuable feedback from a student perspective to enhance the learning experience of bootcamp participants. Additionally, they will assist in developing and evaluating onboarding materials for bootcamp participants and peer mentors. These experiences will equip the student to serve as the lead peer mentor during the bootcamp, leveraging their involvement in the planning process to guide and support peer mentors effectively. This opportunity will develop the student’s project management and leadership skills, while contributing significantly to the success of the bootcamp and its participants.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program.
• Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
• Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
• Must complete a satisfactory background check.
• Must reside in the United States at the time of their appointment and during their appointment at ANL.

HourlyThe expected hiring range for this position is $21.84-$28.40.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only.
