Under the direct supervision of the (CFO) Chief FinanceOfficer, the Finance Analyst will possess advanced accounting skills and theability to reconcile revenue and expense accounts to the general ledger,produce financial statements on comp plan funds and gift and endowment funds asassigned by the CFO. The Finance Analystmust possess intermediate MS Excel and MS Word skills. Must be organized, detail oriented, able tomeet deadlines. The Finance Analyst willalso manage a portfolio of faculty grants and other extramural funding frompre-award through post-award and close-out. Will complete budgets for proposalsubmission to OCGA ensuring correctness and completeness of the contract orgrant application; provide assistance to financial reporting; and assist withgeneral ledger reconciliation. Approve purchasing of laboratory supplies,equipment and various operating expenses. Monitor the status of awardsutilizing FPM (Financial Projection Module) system, transfer of funds (budgetallocations & TOF), transfer of laboratory and other research-relatedexpenses (NPEARs), authorize spending of funds using Purchase Orders, andprocessing recharge orders. Set-up sub-contracts, process no cost timeextensions, coordinate closing packets for awards. Update and revise changes inprojections and expenses. Assist in the review of grants and re-calculate budgetsas needed. Work with the Central Purchasing to resolve open encumbrances.Assume other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
