Job Duties:

The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a Fund Manager to complete the following duties:

• Prepare monthly budget reports and fiscal projections on allgrants.
• Review, analyze and reconcile general ledgers.
• Serve as fiscal liaisonon behalf of the department.
• Advise Principle Investigators on all financialissues.
• Interpret fiscal policy and procedures.
• Review award synopsis, agencynotice of award and transfer of funds.
• Review payroll and non-payroll expenses.
• Audit and manage purchasing agreements, contracts, purchase orders, etc.
• Provide budget management, funding analysis and recommendations.
• Advise P.I. onproposal submissions.
• Conduct Variance Analysis.
• Analyze fiscal impact to thedepartment's budgets on all fiscal actions.
• Prepare special reports.
• Maintainworking knowledge of contract and grant policies.
• Complete other duties as needed. 

Job Qualifications:

• Demonstrated skills in financial analysis tomonitor and project fiscal performance, to develop and manage complex budgetsand to prepare and explain financial reports.
• Ability to explain all budgetaryactions.
• Demonstrated comprehension of UCLA general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UCLA accounting principles and procedures.
• Ability tointerpret, analyze and evaluate financial information.
• Demonstrated proficiencyin using a PC in a Window and Network environment.
• Demonstrated strong skillsin using Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel to create financial work sheets.
• Ability to complete special projects on time.
• Strong communication andinterpersonal skills
