DESCRIPTION
Ensure the planning, coordination, facilitation, monitoring and effective daily operation of Life Skills/Community Connection program, activities and services over assigned realm of supervision. Develop and coordinate volunteer opportunities. Ensure new vocational and community resource options for functional and vocational activities and services are continually sought and researched appropriate to the achievement of desired outcomes consistent with the changing needs and choices of persons served, and which promote greater productivity, independence and vocational and community integrated opportunities. Provide leadership, development and coordination of Life Skills / Community Connections programs.
Selects and supervises (orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, commends, disciplines, and directs activities) assigned direct subordinate staff (and ensures same for all staff supervised by direct report(s) utilizing measurable performance evaluation criteria for staff growth and ensuring that performance standards necessary to meet the needs of persons served are met, in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of the Agency and the services it provides.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have HS/GED, Bachelors degree in Social Work or other human resources field preferred. Minimum of one year successful related work experience with persons with developmental disabilities and one year of professional level work experience in social service field. Valid Illinois drivers license and vehicle with current vehicle insurance. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
WORK SCHEDULE
Primarily Monday through Friday regular business/program hours with scheduling flexibility to work variable hours as needed to appropriately carry out duties and responsibilities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,860.00 - $46,000.00 per year
