Do you enjoy financial management? Then look no further; The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is recruiting for a Financial Analyst I located in the Comptroller's Office. This position is critical to UDOT's successful financial management of its highway construction projects. A successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and provide great customer service.
Principal Duties
As a Financial Analyst I, you will:
- Review invoices for compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Process payables.
- Reconcile contractual payments.
- Respond to queries from customers, both internal and external.
- Extract, analyze, and explain financial data.
- Research issues and summarizes findings.
Minimum Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, the candidate will have at least two (2) years of related experience reconciling financial data. Completing higher education coursework in the following areas may be substituted for related work experience; accounting, finance or business.
Preferences
Preference may be given for the following:
- Experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience using FINET, the State of Utah's accounting system.
- Current UDOT employees

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.65 - $31.15 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
