The Accounting Clerk plays a key role on UGA's team by performing cashiering related activities such as posting received payments and handling other accounting related tasks. This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently posting and reconciling payments to balance portfolio and ensure a smoothly running accounting process.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Posting, fighting, and reconciling all chargebacks
• Collateral invoicing
• Researching and posting unidentified checks
• Processing and posting check NSFs
• Reconciling payments in order to balance portfolio
• Refunding any overpayments, creating consumer refund checks and following consumer refund process
• Posting rejected payments
• Completing special projects as needed
• Handling, sorting and opening incoming mail; processing and distributing mail and reports

Requirements

• Associates degree in Accounting, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
• 1 year(s) experience in accounting/finance
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Strong math aptitude
• Minimum typing speed 35wpm
• Experience working in QuickBooks is a plus
• Experience working in Salesforce CRM is a plus
