Job Summary
Deliver instruction on enterprise gas and electric field operational technology applications like ESRI FieldMaps, Mirata forms, and related tools, revising and developing content to address issues identified through analysis of data captured. Manage technical training scheduling and attendee registration to ensure adequate courses for qualification and requalification of employees and contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction on enterprise gas and electric operational technology applications like ESRI FieldMaps, Mirata forms, and related tools, revising and developing content to address issues identified through analysis of data captured.
- Provide intentional and targeted in-field training support to field operations teams in use of field operational applications.
- Analyze upcoming employee qualification and requalification needs to forecast course scheduling requirements.
- Manage technical training registration application and support attendee course registration to ensure adequate qualifications for Operations and Construction teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to deliver engaging in-person instructional courses in use of field technology utilizing best practices in adult learning and with excellent communication skills.
- Data analysis skills including reporting and trend analysis using spreadsheets and databases.
- Working knowledge of the specialized software utilized in the Asset Data Collection tools and processes including, for example, ESRI Fieldmaps, Mirata or etc.
- Experience using various software to design, develop, and distribute training, which may include but is not limited to, (Microsoft Office suite, audio/video editing applications, CBT software, Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, InDesign, Captivate, etc.), Learning Management Systems, etc.
- Familiarization (working knowledge) of company operation procedures, national and industry codes and regulations.
- Ability to conduct meetings with subject matter experts. Willingness to work in collaborative groups within the department and those from other departments on projects.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Patience and endurance for a wide variety of personalities to create a positive learning environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 1 years of experience in utility operations or technology with bachelor’s degree, or 5 years of utility experience.
- Training and/or instructional design experience is desired but not required.
